About RootedMinds

RootedMinds Youth CIC is a social enterprise (Community Interest Company) founded to support young people aged 10–18 from African and Caribbean diaspora communities. We exist because too many young people navigating dual cultural identities do so without support that truly understands their experience.

Our work is preventative, strengths-based and rooted in lived experience. We combine established psychological understanding with genuine cultural insight to create a safe space where young people feel seen, understood and valued.

Our values

01IdentityHelping young people understand and take pride in who they are
02CultureHonouring heritage while navigating life in the UK
03WellbeingSupporting emotional and mental health early as a preventative measure before challenges escalate
04ResilienceBuilding the confidence and coping skills to thrive
